  • Sep 07,  · albums. Besides the earlier Decca 78 albums, the 8 sides that Burl Ives recorded for Asch/Stinson in the 40's would be welcome. Here Mr. Ives gets the DSM treatment Original cover The cover of the 78 album I own on Asch has a young Burl Ives playing a lute. Ives must have been huge in the late 40's since Gretsch gave him his own model guitar.
